Prices of food and drinks
Buying food in the supermarkets can be relatively cheap. Staples such as a loaf of bread can cost between 30 pence to £3.00 depending on the quality. Milk and juices on the whole costs less than £2.50 while a 500g bag of pasta can costs as little as 50p.
Eating out can be quite reasonable if you know where to look. A main course at a restaurant usually costs between £7.50 and £12.00
When out drinking at bars and pub, prices vary but on the whole you can expect to play up to £3.00 for a pint of beer, while paying up to £4.00 for a glass of wine. Soft drinks are usually priced around the £2.00 mark. However all these can be cheaper at some establishments.
